Amherst International
Folk Dancing

Friday evening dancing is suspended until further notice. We're dancing outdoors Saturday mornings at least through the end of October. If you'd like to be on our email list to get updates as they become available, contact us.
We are hoping to resume Friday evening dancing starting November 2021.

We meet every Friday evening except major holidays, from 7:30 to 10:00, alternating (approximately) between either the Unitarian Meetinghouse Social Hall and the Bangs Community Center (September - May), or the Unitarian Meetinghouse Social Hall and the Whately Dance Barn (June - August).

The Unitarian Meetinghouse and the Bangs Community Center are in close proximity to each other, sharing the same parking areas. See the schedule for where we meet each week, and directions to the venues.

We are fortunate to have live music by Panharmonium (generally) on the first Friday of each month.

We do dances from a variety of cultures, primarily from the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. The dance formations are mostly lines and circles, with some partner dances. We welcome dancers at all levels, from first-timers to veterans. You do not need to bring a partner. Please call (413) 549-6748 or (413) 323-6330 if you have any doubts as to whether holidays or winter weather will affect our schedule.
